Why does NETWORK MARKETING aka MLM have such a bad reputation? There are many specific reasons that people give for their distrust even their downright hatred of the network marketing business model. Most of them can be traced back to either themselves or someone that they know getting involved in a network marketing business and winding up among those who have failed to make any money. Some even lost large sums of money trying to start and run a network marketing business. Unfortunately, these seem to be the majority of the people who start a business in the network marketing industry.

Now that I have covered the unfortunate and undeniable facts, let’s look at the reason that this happened to most of these unfortunate souls. To start with they listened to an up line that was passing on the same bad information that had been passed down to them. They are told that this is not selling; this is just sharing information about our products and business with people that we know or in some cases with total strangers. You do not have to work at this all you have to do is find 3 to 5 people that are interested in joining the business and then help them find 3 to 5 people, and you will become rich beyond your wildest dreams.

Well you do have to sell and market your product or service and your business opportunity to make any money in the network marketing industry. Do not get the wrong idea; you do not have to be a super salesman or marketer to build a network marketing business. All you need is a product or service that you believe in and would use yourself if you were not in that business. Also you need to be willing to work if, the amount of money you make is usually directly related to the amount of work that you put into the business.

It also helps a great deal if you have an up line that is willing to learn and teach you the latest and best methods to market and sell your business and products.

Actually in a network marketing business you have two separate businesses. The first is the sale of the products or service that the company offers. The second business is the business opportunity that you have to offer someone that is interested in starting their own business. I cannot stress the fact too much that to market your business opportunity you need to concentrate on prospects that want to start a business. Some people will tell you that everyone you know or meet is a prospect for your opportunity. They are not!! There are people that are not interested in starting a business if you would guarantee the a million dollars a month. They have their own reasons for not wanting a business and trying to convince them otherwise is useless.

If you market to the right prospects you will have an easier job selling your business opportunity. Also you will have people in your business who are not only are willing to work, but look foreword to working to build a business.
